Description of the Facility
Situated on the top (8th) floor of Barrows Hall on the campus of the University of California, Berkeley, the Lipman Room is a large conference facility perfect for meetings, conferences, lectures, receptions, awards ceremonies and other similar events. Floor to ceiling windows and glass doors, leading to a wrap-around outdoor balcony provide expansive views of the campus and its surroundings, including the San Francisco Bay and skyline, Golden Gate Bridge, Treasure Island, the East Bay Hills and the Oakland skyline.
The Lipman Room may be rented by University of California groups and by the general public.

Facility Equipment
- Approximately 150 stacking chairs.
- Ten 5 ft. round folding banquet tables (each table seats 6-8).
- Seven 6 ft. rectangular folding conference tables (each table seats 4-6).
- One wall-mounted 9 ft. wide x 12 ft. high projection screen.
- One mobile 11 ft. x 4.5 ft table.
- One standing podium.

- Kitchen attached to The Lipman Room (refrigerator/freezer, sink, stove, oven, microwave) - $50/day.
- Microphones and media equipment are available through Educational Technology Services (ETS). Please submit an online request to ETS for audio/visual and public address (PA) audio needs as soon as possible, but no later than noon, Thursday, the week prior to your event.
- Additional tables, chairs, as well as linens and set-up/break-down services are available through UC Movers.
